This Dromiskin herd of selected cattle was established in 1996 with the purchase of three well bred females from proven blood lines. Only the very best sires have been used ever since.

December 2011 - Dromiskin Franco: a 5 star bull (below). 2nd in his class at the Christmas Cracker on Dec 3rd in Carrick-on-Shannon. Sold at auction for €7500 to Gerry Carroll, a suckler farmer from Oldcastle, Co Meath.

August 2011 - Dromiskin Goliath ET and Dromiskin Fergie both sold to a local pedigree-suckler breeder (Frances McKiernan). Both were examples of top class breeding as Dromiskin Goliath was from Ecrin/Valeriane & Dromiskin Fergie was from Pedro/Venus.
July 2011 - Dromiskin Germaine ET (from Ecrin/Valeriane) was 1st prizewinner at the Virginia Agricultural show on July 30th.
April 2011 - Dromiskin Fernando (in picture below) bought by Teagasc farm in Grange, Co. Meath for €5600 at Tully on 25th April.
October 2010 - Dromiskin Ebony and Dromiskin Economy have been sold to a Co. Louth pedigree breeder. Fore more information, see our Sales page.
August 2010 - Sales of top females to Co. Kildare - Dromiskin Empress & Dromiskin Eclair - half sisters to Aghafad Countess (see picture below), all out of Dromiskin Valeriane. For pictures, see our Sales page.
July 2010 - Dromiskin Charolais featured on the RTE Six-One news at Virginia Show on July 31st. Aghafad Countess won 2nd prize in Senior Female Class.
Daughter of Dromiskin Valeriane, Aghafad Countess, won the overall Female Champion Christmas Cracker at Carrick-on-Shannon on December 5th 2009. Judge, Ian Campbell stated that she is a very complete heifer, walked very well and a very good champion. She was withdrawn unsold at €9,500.
Carrickmacross Danny, son of Dromiskin Sunshine sold for €4125 to a Welsh breeder and received 1st prize in its class.
