Daughter of Dromiskin Valeriane, Aghafad Countess, won the overall Female Champion Christmas Cracker at Carrick-on-Shannon on December 5th. Judge, Ian Campbell stated that she is a very complete heifer, walked very well and a very good champion. She was withdrawn unsold at €9,500.

Carrickmacross Danny, son of Dromiskin Sunshine sold for €4125 to a Welsh breeder and received 1st prize in its class.

DROMISKIN BONNIE - SOLD FOR €12,500

The female section at the final Irish Charolais Society Show/Sale of the year on Dec 6th 2008 achieved a top price of €12,500 which was paid for the Champion female “Dromiskin Bonnie” (see below) bred by Paddy Farrelly. A second prize winner at the National Show, she is by Paddy's home bred stock bull “Dromiskin Viceroy” and out of a home bred dam “Dromiskin Odessa”. (Click here to see the family of Odessa). She was purchased by the O'Kane Brothers, Ovill, Dungiven, Co. Derry. She is a full sister of the Male Champion at the 2007 Christmas Cracker sale. He sold for €12,000. Dromiskin Benson achieved the highest price at Carrick-on-Shannon Bull Sale (26 May 2007). An outstanding bull by Enfield Pirate and by Dromiskin Venus by Jupiter (same bloodline as Phoenix). He made €4,600 - by far the highest price of the day.

Tully Bull Performance Test May '06 Sale (06 May 2006)
Charolais hit €11,800 at last Saturday's (6th May ) sale of performance tested bulls in Tully, Co. Kildare. Well know Co. Louth breeder, Paddy Farrelly, Dromiskin, Dundalk, once again took the honours (he received €20,000 at the same sale last year from the National Cattle Breeding Centre for a bull with the same blood lines on the dam's side; Mogador and Excellent) This year's sale was to well known Co. Clare pedigree breeders, Brothers, Dan and JJ Melody, Clonmoney, Bunratty.

At Carrick on Shannon on the 10th December Dromiskin Unite a Multi Show award Winner (See News) inseminated on the 10th June was sold to Seamus Conlon, Lough Egish. Powerful big heiffer from successful bloodline Dromiskin Romance and Dromiskin Phoenix achieved a price of €11,000.

Dromiskin Viceroy another great bull from Dromiskin Princess performed extremely well in Tully Performance Station achieving the highest beef carcass merit recorded at the Tully performance station. He is seen here with (L-R) Michael Bailey representing his new owners Progressive Genetics of Enfield AI station, Paddy and Michael Barren the manager of Tully test performance station,. He was sold for a year record 20,500 euro which beat the previous record Dromiskin Viscount below
